He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur G. Hoese and Viola E. Hoese (Sullivan); and his siblings, Beverly J. Hoese, Barbara Hoese, Mary O'Meara, Rosalind Burden-Pittenger, Robert Hoese and Lawrence Hoese.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanne C. Drazkowski; and his children, Libby Letcher (Rob) of Schaumburg, IL, Dean Dykstra (Cristi), T. J. Hoese of Fulton, IL, Jeremy Hoese of Clinton, IA, Dennis Hoese (Sarah) of Evans, GA and Jeffrey Hoese of Fulton, IL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
