He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Conrad and Edith Swanson (Ross); and his siblings, Elsie Swanson, John, Howard and David Swanson.
He is survived by: his wife Eunice Swanson of Fulton; his children, Melinda Kramer (Michael) of Fulton, Michael Swanson of Moline, IL and Marc Swanson (Paula) of Wheeling, IL; and his brothers, Roland Swanson of Morrison and William Swanson (Deb) of Morrison. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
