She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Houten and Tena Van Houten (Boonstra); her sisters, Ethel J. Miller and Beatrice Wiersema; and her stepson Dennis Hall.
She is survived by: her husband Don Hall of Fulton, IL; her sons, Mark Smith of Morrison, IL and Russell Smith (Aom) of Poway, CA; her stepdaughter Dawn Vasquez of Verona, WI; her grandchildren, Ainsley, Kellan, Michael, Andrea, Carla, Brooke and Tony; and her great grandchildren, Bexley and Bristol.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bosma-Renkes - Fulton Chapel (1500 10th Ave, Fulton, IL 61252). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
A memorial has been established to benefit breast cancer research.
