He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cole and Clara Cole (Wienen); his wife Carol Sanderson Radabaugh; his son James "Goober" Cole; his son-in-law Bob Karberg; his stepdaughter Janet Radabaugh-Tipton; and his siblings, Gene, Russell, Melburn, Ralph, Colleen and Audrey.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Cole (Vicky), Lyn Karberg, Dan Cole, Marsha Yokas (Jim), Steve Cole (Theresa) and Theresa Cole (Eric LeBoa); his grandchildren, Matt Karberg (Tanya), Scott Karberg (Chanelle Brandfas), Blake Karberg, Jenny Salazar (Sean), Scott Temperly (Carrie), Chad Cole (Laura), Pamela Stewart (Ian), Jim Cole (Shelby), Curtis Cole (Maggie Hudrlik), Kelsey Dolezal (Dylan), Jessi Yokas (Nick Vidoni), Nicky Ehlers (Brett), Paul Yokas (Olivia), Philip Yokas (Myah), Katie Dunne and Jamie Lattner (Brian); and his stepdaughter Ann Wilkinson. He is also survived by 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (400 Franklin St, Galena, IL 61036). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Workshop.
