Howard C. Muchow Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 10, 2025, Howard C. Muchow of Galena, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chrystal Howard (Smith) and Kenneth Muchow Sr. Howard; his brother Kenneth "Butch" Muchow; and his fathers-in-law, Eugene "Deeder" Bauer, John Glynn and Royce McCray.
He is survived by: his wife Cyndy Muchow; his children, Kevin Muchow, Hunter, Westyn, Keith Muchow (Tressa Menster) and Carissa Biver (Nick); his grandchildren, Jett and Luka; his daughters, Alicia Owens (Jayson) and Miranda; his siblings, Chrystal "Dolly" Hueneke (David), Penny Basten (John), Bill Muchow (Diane) and Bernie Muchow (Marilynn); his aunt Jean Muchow; his in-laws, Sue Herrick (Mike), Kathy Cupps and Wilma "Sam" Bauer; his pet Lady; and also Connor. He is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Furlong Funeral Chapel (100 Caroldon Ct, Galena, IL 61036). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, gifts towards a memorial fund to support GHS Athletics can be directed to the family.
