It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R. Holman of Galena, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on April 14, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Holman and Mary Holman (Storey); his brothers, Kenneth and John; his sister-in-law Margaret; his aunt Lourene Bartsch; and his brother Robert Johnson.

He is survived by : his wife Wendy; his children, Richard and Gina Beeman (Charlie); his stepdaughter Jodi; his grandchildren, Hannah, Lucas, Erick, Grant, Carli, Drew, Brooklyn, Riley and Aubrie; his sisters-in-law, Deniece and Patricia Holman; his cousin Dick Bartsch (Carla); and his nephew Dan Sertle. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Furlong Funeral Chapel (100 Caroldon Ct, Galena, IL 61036). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

He was embracing their principles of brotherhood and charity.
