It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucille L. Thiltgen of Galena, Illinois, who passed away on November 16, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lucille L. Thiltgen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer J. Pollock and Florence K. Pollock (Hoffmann); her husband Oswald "Ossie" Thiltgen; her siblings, Raymond, James and Darlene; her sons-in-law, Butch Hulscher, Tim Gallagher, Sattar Haque and Dale Leifker; her grandson Jordan Duerr; and her great grandchild Kyla.
She is survived by: her children, Laurene Case (Dave), Shirley Hulscher, Ruth Gallagher, Jerry Thiltgen (Cathy), Diane Haque, Donna Masters, Pat Nellis (Donnie), Sue Nemec (Rick), Mary Leifker, John Thiltgen (Maggie) and Joe Thiltgen (Cathy); her sister Mary Ann Breitbach (Butch); and her sister-in-law Elaine Pollock. She is also survived by twenty one grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (400 Franklin St, Galena, IL 61036).
