With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Pattie Jean Gallwas of Galena, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 30, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Pattie may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Douglas Moore and Ruth Lillian Bush (Godwin). She is survived by: her husband John Gallwas; and her children, Douglas William, Martin Andrew, John Fredrick Jr., William Bush, Walter James, Franklin Terry Gallwas, Mary Lillian Lombardi and Isa Jane Magsamen. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren.
