He was predeceased by : his parents, William Hocking and Norma Hocking (Doherty). He is survived by : his wife Mary Hocking; his daughter Anna Thill (Ian); his siblings, Mike Hocking (Cheri) of Keosauqua, IA, Kathy Hocking (Lauren) of Oviedo, FL, Pat Hocking (Melissa) of Lisbon, IA and Jeanna Gunning (Chris) of Ashland, KY.; and his cousin Glenn Harris.

Instead of flowers, memorials may be given to Galena EMS in memory of Rick.
