Alva D. Phelps Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Alva D. Phelps of Galesburg, Illinois. Alva, born on December 11, 1936, passed away on August 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur E. Phelps and Lottie M. Phelps (Duncan); and his siblings, James Phelps (Dorthy), David Phelps (Norma), Carolee Newman (John) and Evelyn Auten (Eldon).
He is survived by: his wife Betty F. Parker; his children, Rodney Phelps (Nicki) of Cameron, Illinois and Cathy Phelps of Joy, Illinois; his granddaughters, Libby Phelps and Nora Phelps; and his brother Max Phelps (Nancy) of Avon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
