She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl William and Grace Emiline Meerdink (Varney); her husband Guilbert Brown; and her children, Claudia Nelson and Guilbert L. Brown.
She is survived by: her son Barry Brown (Camille) of Nashua; her son-in-law Steve Nelson of Holmen, Wisconsin; her daughter Lynn Cook (Tom) of Galesburg; her daughter-in-law Carrie Birckbichler of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania; and her brothers, Skip Meerdink (Mary) of Longwood and John Meerdink (Louise) of Muscatine. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Knox County Humane Society, the Galesburg Pilot Club International, Galesburg American Legion Auxiliary, Galesburg Salvation Army, or First Presbyterian Church.
