He was predeceased by: his parents, Burrel B. Barash and Rosalyne J. Barash (Silver). He is survived by: his wife Louisa Friedrich (Buck); his son D. Scott Barash (Gayle Wald) of Washington, D. C.; his grandson Zachary A. Barash; his brother Anthony H. Barash (Terri Hanson) of Chicago; his sister-in-law Jean Barash; and his nieces and nephews, Andrew Barash, Matthew Barash, Betsy Murphy (Barash) and Katie Hubbard (Barash).

Due to guidelines associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and facemasks will be required with limited occupancy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Galesburg Public Library Foundation or the Knox County Humane Society.
