He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Davis and Bessie Davis (Willison); and his siblings, Richard Davis, Harold Davis, Raymond Davis Jr., Colleen Davis (Brown), Helen Layfollette and Betty Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Julia Maglore of Galesburg; his daughters, Nancy McGowin of Galesburg and Debbie Coombs (Alan) of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Ashley Coombs of Pennsylvania, Alex Coombs of Pennsylvania and Mason McGowin; and his sister Marilyn Plue of Knoxville.
