He was predeceased by: his grandparents, James Griffith and Dixie Dexter; and his uncle Brett L. Holmes. He is survived by: his parents, Kevin D. Holmes and Heather M. Holmes (Griffith) of Galesburg; his pet Larry; his grandmother Coni Griffith of Galesburg; his aunt Lydia Griffith (Colton Taylor) of Galesburg; and his uncle Wayne B. Hillman of Galesburg. He is also survived by cousins and other extended family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to establish a fund to help dogs.
