Charles Hawkinson Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Hawkinson of Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on April 14, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Charles touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, K. Stuart Hawkinson and Janet Elizabeth Hawkinson (Johnson); his wife Priscilla Hartzler; his brother Ken Hawkinson; and his granddaughter Adeline Ryan.

He is survived by: his daughters, Suzanne Ryan of Yorkville and Stephanie Hawkinson of Galesburg; and his grandchildren, Toby Ryan and Jack Ryan.
