He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Kirchgessner and Florence Kirchgessner (Foster); his brother Gerald Kirchgessner; and his wife Susan Hicks Searl. He is survived by: his children, Gregory Kirchgessner (Beth) of Abingdon, IL and Gayla Hicks (Dan) of Galesburg, IL.; his sister Joyce Ferris of Tucson, AZ; his grandchildren, Cara, Joseph, Lillian, Mary, Jason, Thomas, Matthew, Gabriella and Sabrina; and his great grandchildren, Preston and Brayden.
