He is survived by: his children, Janel Simpson of Monmouth, Rachael Abel of Keokuk, Joy Armstrong of Abingdon, Samantha Simpson of Galesburg, David Heatherly, Benjamin Simpson (Michelle) of Omaha and Michael Armstrong of Galesburg; his siblings, Paul Simpson of Stronghurst, Illinois and Carolyn Simpson of Galesburg; and his grandchildren, Aidan, Ava Simpson, Landon Creighton, Liam, Mila Armstrong, Shannia Swank and Weston Evans.
