The memory of Ellen M. Thomas of Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on May 9, 2025 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the vast expanse of eternity, Ellen shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Ellen farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Erastus "Wimpy" Hix and Velda Marie Seitz (Glasgow); her brother John P. "Phil" Hix; and her son Michael E. Thomas Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Melissa Kehoe (Pete) of Galesburg, IL and Kelly Poyner (Ronald) of Galesburg, IL; and her daughter-in-law Mary Theesfeld Thomas (James H. Thomas). She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
