We are sad to announce that, on October 4, 2022, at the age of 79, Gary James Bruington of Galesburg, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Arnold and Carolyn Pauline Bruington (Anderson); his wife Alice Rosalee Marten; his brother Ted Bruington; and his sister-in-law Barbara Bruington.

He is survived by: his children, Bret Bruington (Joni Clay) of Galesburg and Angie Powers (Marty) of Galesburg; his pet Church; his nieces, Kelli Bosch (Brad) of Ankeny and Mindy McDonald (Brian) of Carmel, Indiana; and his nephew Bryon Bruington (Amy) of Carmel.

Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or Galesburg Baseball Programs, c/o Galesburg Community Foundation.
