He was predeceased by: his parents, W. C. Rice and Dorothy Louise Rice (Holt); and his grandson Christopher "Chuck" Yeater. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Griffith; and his children, Laura Rice of Bonham, Thomas Yeater (Karri) of Milan, Diana Rice of Biggsville, Lisa Ellis of Biggsville and Clifford Rice (Kerry) of Little Elm, Texas.. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory (1849 N Seminary St, Galesburg, IL 61401).
