It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Strope of Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on October 10, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Strope and Martha Ellen Strope-Hickox; and his sister Janice Smith. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Strope of Galesburg; his children, Robert Strope of Galesburg and Laura Strope of Cameron, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Cody Strope and Marissa Meyer. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
