With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Shawgo (Galesburg, Illinois), born in Astoria, Illinois, who passed away on December 30, 2019 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Verne Curless and Dorothy Curless (Camp). She is survived by: her husband Lawrence O. Shawgo; her sons, Michael Shawgo (Patricia) of Franklin and Kevin Shawgo (Lisa) of Nevada; her brother Jerry Curless (Karen) of Englewood; her grandchildren, Kyle, Erin, Colin, Owen and Ethan; and her siblings-in-law, Raymond Shawgo Jr. (Edie) and Marjorie Grover.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church.
