It is with sadness that the passing of Lois Malcolm of Galesburg, Illinois is shared. Lois, born on August 21, 1937, passed away on September 11, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter E. Carlson and Helen E. Carlson (Lindgren); and her siblings, Donald Carlson, John Carlson, Caryl Poland, Janet Martin Griffith and Barbara Carlson.
She is survived by: her children, Linda J. Ekstedt (Mitch) of Altona, Ed J. Malcolm (Esther) of Dahinda and Sharon Marshall (Roger Hagerty) of Galesburg; her grandchildren, Aaron Stone (Jamie), Michael Stone, Elijah Ekstedt (Paige), Seth Malcolm (Amber), Cory Marshall (Kodi), Nathan Marshall and Katie Marshall; and her sister-in-law Anita Carlson of Galesburg. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West, Inc. (1070 W Fremont St, Galesburg, IL 61401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to OSF Hospice, Knox County Humane Society, Cat N Around Rescue, or Bethany Baptist Church of Altona.
