She was predeceased by: her parents, Vilasco Sorrells and Pauline Sorrells (Mercer); her brother Giles Sorrells; and her brother-in-law David Peterson. She is survived by: her husband Gerald Peterson of Galesburg; her children, Kevin Peterson (Cyndi) of Avon, Denise Peterson of Galesburg, Laura Olson (Rob) of Henderson, IL, Loren Peterson of Gillespie, IL and Glenn Peterson (Sherry) of Newark, IL; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Peterson and Judy Linze. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Roseville Christian Church and left in the care of the funeral home.
