He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, LaVergne DeWitt and Dorothy Jane DeForest (Daley); his wife Debbie (Benbow) of Galesburg; his children, Melissa Katzenberger (Bobby) of Fayetteville, Jennifer Heilmann (Jim) of Las Vegas, Andrea Tenley (Randy) of Arizona and Patrick DeForest (Jennifer) of Honolulu, Hawaii; his stepchildren, Eric Henderson (Melissa Swanson) of Galesburg and Ann Boyden (Andrew) of Virginia Beach, Virgina; his brothers, Kevin DeForest (Kathryn) of Knoxville, Dennis DeForest (Karen) of Hamilton and Shawn DeForest (Amy) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Gillian, Gretchen and Jordan; his stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth, Grace, Scott, Matthew and Joshua; his pets, Triton Poe, Sophie Blu, Jett and Muffin; and his siblings, Patrick, Brian and Terri Hausvick.
