He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edwin and June Elizabeth Hatch (McLaren); his wife Barbara June Hatch; his sisters, Alma Marie Boyd and Beverly Jean Onion; and his great grandchild Isaiah Robert Chezum.

He is survived by: his daughters, Ginger Lynn Randall (Bart) of Knoxville and Cynthia Joan Chezum of Galesburg; and his sister Carolyn Jean Hughes of Abingdon. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
