He was predeceased by: his son Robert Joseph "Robbie" Lapping, Jr. (Bob). He is survived by: his sons, Scott Lapping of Galesburg, Jeff Lapping of East Peoria and Brian Lapping (Megan) of Bloomington, Ill.; and his grandchildren, Ian Lapping, Abigail Lapping, Julia Lapping and Caleb Lapping.
