He was predeceased by: his parents, Berthol Taylor and Eugenia Taylor (Green); his daughter Pamela Brannon; and his siblings, James Taylor, William Taylor, Marilyn Haynes, Elizabeth Taylor, Betty Weeks and Delores Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Helen V. Wells; his daughter Dolores Thomas (Marc) of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; his granddaughter Bridget Lipscomb; his great grandchildren, Markus Green, Brinden Green of Thomas, Eichelberger Jr. and Pamela Eichelberger; his great great grandchild Nala Green; and his sisters, Shirley Wallace of Galesburg and Christine Haynes (Clinton) of Galesburg. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
