Roger will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Roger by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Roger is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Roger’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, L. Wayne Day and Sally Mary Day (Hunt); and his daughters, Barbara Ann Day and Cindy Ushman. He is survived by: his child Lynn Burton (Dwayne) of Galesburg; and his siblings, Rev. Max Day (Karen) of Brainerd, Rev. Lee Day (Donna) of Gastonia and Jane Foster (Homer) of Gibson City, Illinois.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Covenant Church (1520 Jefferson St, Galesburg, IL 61401). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
