She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles A. Long and Rowena Long (Blackhurst); her in-laws, Louie and Iva "Granny" Smith; her sister Sidney Kline; and her sister-in-law Sally Luder.
She is survived by: her husband J. B. Smith; her children, Timothy J. Smith (Lynne) of Castle Rock, William Larry Smith (Kimberly) of Temple, Richard Dean Smith (Kathy Berry) of Normal and Cynthia Smith of Mathis, Texas; and her siblings, Charles Michael Long (Elaine) of Galesburg, Donna Weir (Charlie) of Liberty, Albert Hardy Long (Nancy) of Macomb, Charlene Peterson (Harold Northrup) of Dallas City and Dorn Luder of Dallas City. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, the Knox County Humane Society, or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
