She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvyn Peterson and Laurene Peterson; and her husband Bob. She is survived by: her stepfather Gerald Dickey; her daughters, Shelly Golden (Ray) of Monmouth and Tami Prather (Dennis C.) of Victoria; her grandchildren, Brandon Anderson (Courtney), Alyssa Golden Grant (Ryan), Alexia Golden (Adam Noens), Dennis R. Prather (Miranda), Karissa Vozovoi (Andrew) and Kelsey Stone; her great grandchildren, Alex, Ethan, Jaycen, Ben, Josephine, Elizabeth, Cameron and Ainsley; and her sister-in-law Jean Grupe (Dale) of Galesburg.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Watson-Thomas Funeral Home (1849 N Seminary St, Galesburg, IL 61401). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Bishop Hill Cemetery (510 Main St, Bishop Hill, IL 61419).
