It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley E. Ghitalla of Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on May 12, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sidney and Bertha Easter McConnell (Schutte); her husband Jack P. Ghitalla; and her siblings, Gloria and Gale.
She is survived by: her children, Rev. Bruce W. Ghitalla (Francine) of Pekin, Karen Truelove of Knoxville, Diane Winkless (Edward) of Highland and Jill Klecka of Wheaton, Illinois; and her brother-in-law Harold Andrykowski of Naperville, Illinois. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
