Willa Mae King Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Blackwell and Catherine Blackwell (Brown); her son James Mack; and her siblings, Gladys Johnson, Betty Jackson, Shirlie Blackwell and James Blackwell.

She is survived by: her children, Linda Simmons (Wynder) of Georgia, Doug King (Barbara) of Galesburg and Michael King of San Francisco, California; her godson Arthur G. Melendez Jr.; and her grandchildren, Dina Sias, MeKenzie Crummer, Keigen Crummer, Elmer Dickerson, Terrence Dickerson, Michael Edmonds, Leon King, Tra'Vonna (Chad Vassell), Donell Mack, Rashida Mack and Shona Fleming. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Hinchliff Pearson West Galesburg Chapel (1070 W Fremont St, Galesburg, IL 61401). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
