It is with sadness that the passing of Yvette Wright of Galesburg, Illinois is shared. Yvette, born on August 25, 1941, passed away on October 2, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Yvette Wright to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ora E. Reuter and Mabel C. Reuter (Gillespie); and her siblings, Ordeth German, Marcena Austin, Roger Reuter and Eddie Delwyn Reuter.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald Wright; her children, Jeff Wright (Sandy) of Fort Worth, Rodney Wright of Macomb, Illinois and Ketra Stewart (Kurt) of Galesburg; her sisters, Cheryl Wright (late Robert) of Galesburg and Joann Presley of Corpus Christi, Texas; and her grandchildren, Jeff Wright (Jen) of Texas, Jacob Wright (Sheila) of Texas, Justin Wright (Jessica) of Texas, Brittney Wright of Texas, Kylie Larson (David) of Woodhull and Kyce Stewart (Susanna) of Galesburg. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hinchliff-Pearson-West, Inc. (1070 W Fremont St, Galesburg, IL 61401). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Church of the Nazarene (1501 Webster St, Galesburg, IL 61401). A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery.
