He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Brooks and Reba Brooks (Iseman); his wife Kathleen J. "Katie" Nichols; his siblings, Leon, Robert and Phyllis; and his grandson Austin Porter.
He is survived by: his sons, Virgil Brooks (Judy) of Galva, Dan Brooks (Stacey) of Arizona and Ken Brooks (Charlie) of Galva; and his sister Barbara Tabb of Abingdon. He is also survived by six grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Galva Lions Club or to the Galva Senior Citizens Center.
