He was predeceased by: his parents, Royce R. and Mary D. Smith; his in-laws, Joyce and John Mack; his children, Royce Ann, Kathy and Richard; and his siblings, Bill Smith and Sandra Hefner.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Mack; his children, Jerry Urban (Lorie) of South Carolina and Vickie Beasley of Benton, KY; his grandchildren, Patrick, Katie, Steffanie, Kyle, Noah, Drew, Brittany, Brandon, Wade, Taylor and Tyler; and his siblings, Joyce Hays of Jackson, MO, Monty Smith (Sandra) of St. Augustine, FL and Steve Smith (Rhonda) of Bourbonnais, IL. He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Braidwood American Legion (426 Industry Ave, Gardner, IL 60424).
