He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Mae Smith and Longbons; his wife Lelia Smith; his brother Lewis Smith; and his daughter-in-law Vicky Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Richard of Fairfield, Danny Smith of Fairfield and Tanya Basnett (Brad) of Fairfield; and his grandchildren, Heath Basnett, Kyle Basnett, Jenny McArthy, Tim Smith and Katie Schaber. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren, one step great grandchild, and one great great grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Wayne's honor may be made to the Geff Christian Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
