It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clarence Richard Rusk of Geneseo, Illinois, who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Golden and Dorothy Mildred "Mid" Rusk (Gramling); his wife Diane "Dee" Whitaker; his siblings, Marilyn (Larry Martin) and Jim Rusk (Trish); his siblings-in-law, Madeline Rusk and Dick "Whitey" Borkgren; and his nephews, Keith Martin and Brian Rusk.
He is survived by: his stepchild Krissy Cotty (Nick Hessler); his children, Mike (Pat Rusk), Dave (Rhonda Rusk), Lisa Rusk of Geneseo, Jason (Andrea Rusk), Ray (Stacey Cotty) and Brad (Jamie Cotty); his grandchildren, Seth, Jessica Rusk, Spencer, Macy Rusk, Sydney Rusk, Kyle, Ryan, Ryley Rusk, Kyler Rusk, Nathan, Lexi, Zach Johnson, Madison Wancket, Ava Rusk, Andrew, Dylan, Erika, Eli Cotty, Chris, Lynn Cotty, Sawyer, Matilda, Silas, Mabel and Gwendolyn Hessler; his great grandchildren, Kayden, Kash, Khloe, Braxton, Bennett and Theodore; and his siblings, Judy Borkgren of Geneseo and Bill Rusk of East Moline. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel (580 E Ogden Ave, Geneseo, IL 61254). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Vandemore Funeral Home (580 E Ogden Ave, Geneseo, IL 61254).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Aisle of Flags or Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry.
