He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Melvin Spensley and Marie Spensley (Distler); his wife Bette Reitz; and his brother Gerald Spensley. He is survived by: his children, Kari Rink of Geneseo, Christopher Spensley (Kristin) of Eldridge, IA and Joshua Spensley (Becky) of Geneseo, IL; his sister Dianne Burlison (Vern) of Galena, IL; and his grandchildren, Kaden Rink, Tannen Rink, Jeslen Rink, Carter Spensley, Ethan Spensley, Brandton Spensley and Drew Spensley.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vandemore Funeral Home - Geneseo (580 E Ogden Ave, Geneseo, IL 61254). A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Association.
