She was predeceased by: her parents, Theophil Cauwels and Julia Cauwels (Claeys); her husband John DeClercq; her daughters, Leona DeClercq and Phyllis Henderson; her siblings, Robert Cauwels, Clara Verbeck, Irene Flake and Catherine Gustafson; and her brothers-in-law, LeRoy Verbeck and Bob Gustafson.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Ghys (Richard) of Geneseo; and her sister-in-law Mary Ellen Cauwels. She is also survived by six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be distributed among various local charities.
