He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Heaton of Geneseo; his children, Patty Priester (Fred) of Long Grove, IA, Michael Heaton (Carrie) of Geneseo, Greg Heaton (Kim) of Geneseo and Doug Heaton (Melissa) of Woolridge, MO; his grandchildren, Tim Washburn, Toby Washburn, Jaime Dyer (Ryan), AJ Washburn, Linley Stees (Brett), Landon Heaton, Kelsey Amman (Jeff), Justin Heaton (Kaitlyn), Kyle Heaton (Kate), Joshua Heaton, Robyn Smith (Alex), Kara Palmer (Jon), Paige Fleener (Chris) and Peter Priester (Jac); his great grandchildren, Jacob, Mackinzie, Bianca, Scarlett, Peyton, Jordan, Mason, Jackson, Kane, Brielle, Jack, Natalie, Peter, Mia, Ben, Jane, Poppy, Rosalie, Ava, Bennett, Carter and Henry; and his siblings, Rollin Heaton, Berniece Unzel, Wanda Edwards (Bob) and Barb York (Dave).
A rosary will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Vandemore Funeral Home - Geneseo (580 E Ogden Ave, Geneseo, IL 61254). Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Malachy Catholic Church (595 E Ogden Ave, Geneseo, IL 61254).
