He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Swanson and Marjorie Swanson (Armstrong); and his sons, David and Peter Swanson. He is survived by: his wife Pauline; his sister Patricia Swanson Hansen; and his children, Julie Swanson Shaw (Bill Kincaid), Marty Swanson (Janet), James J. Swanson, Susan Swanson, Tad Swanson, Kirsten Swanson Velasco (Michael) and Bompa. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
