He is survived by: his children, Hannah Cocquit of Galesburg, Seth Cocquit (Lindsey) of Peoria, Regina Kappelman-May of Lebanon, TN, Juliun Cocquit of Geneseo and Victoria Cocquit (Nick Gillette) of Nashville, TN; his grandchildren, Cora, Emmie Cocquit and Charlie May; and his siblings, Greg Cocquit (Marilyn) of New Windsor, Theresa Cocquit of Rushford, MN, Pam Jones of Coal Valley, Pat Cocquit (Tina) of Wataga, Scott Cocquit (Julie) of Geneseo and Mike Cocquit of Geneseo, IL..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Kingswood Church (302 N State St, Geneseo, IL 61254).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Julius Cocquit Memorial Fund.
