The passing of Moreen Thiessen of Geneseo, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 30, 2025 at the age of 88. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Schaecher and Mae Schaecher (Schumacher); her husband Gene Thiessen; and her sons, Brent Thiessen and Mitchell Thiessen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karri Thiessen of McHenry, IL and Kelly Thiessen of Austin, TX; her granddaughter Nicole DeChante of Geneseo; her great grandchildren, Mia and Calvin; and her sisters, Marilyn Samuelson and Jolene Richardson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Malachy Catholic Church (595 E Ogden Ave, Geneseo, IL 61254). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at the Oakwood Cemetery (1060 S Oakwood Ave, Geneseo, IL 61254).
Memorials can be made in her honor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
