He was predeceased by: his mother Anna Ruth Norton (Armstrong); his wife Barbara Norton; his father John Norton; and his siblings, Ward D. Norton, Harry Norton, Clarence Norton and Josephine "Jo" Verbout.
He is survived by: his children, Sue DeSmith of Annawan, Beth DeDecker (Marty) of Annawan, Karen Curran (Kevin) of Davenport, IA and Jan Norton (Pete Savage) of Annawan; his grandchildren, Brooke Bomleny (Mark), Abby Morris (Cody), Michael DeDecker, Matthew DeDecker (Rachel), Molly DeDecker, Brady Curran, Kelly Gerdes (Patrick) and Meghan Keen (Justin); his great grandchildren, Stella, Josie, Ryder, Avery, Wyatt, Parker, Hadley, Meredith and James; his sister Pat Henson; and his sister-in-law Sue Norton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Annawan Community United Methodist Church or the Annawan-Alba Fire and Rescue.
