He is survived by: his wife Beverly Kay Thoene of Geneseo, IL; his children, Deacon Bob (Robert Paul), Shauna Thoene of Geneseo, IL and Aleshia Sambou (Sulayman); his brothers, Bruce Thoene (Kathy) and Darrell Thoene; his siblings-in-law, Jerry Tillman and Debbie Thoene; and his grandchildren, Andrew Thoene, Micah Thoene, Joseph Thoene, Robert Sambou and Kevin Sambou. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Honor Flight of the Quad Cities, Geneseo Ambulance, and the Geneseo Fire Department.
