We are sad to announce that, on August 17, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Cheryl Kelly of Geneva, Illinois, born in Waukegan, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John L. Balen and Helen T. Balen. She is survived by: her husband David Kelly; her children, John Kelly (Courtney) of Raleigh, NC, Lauren Kaminski (Greg) of Elburn, IL, Allyson Kelly and Elena Kelly of Oregon, IL; her grandchildren, Catherine, John "Jack", Eleanor, Josephine Kelly and Carter Kaminski; and her siblings, Rochelle Talley (Thomas) of Chapel Hill, NC and John Balen (Norma) of Hillsborough, CA. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Cherie's memory may be made to the Diabetes Action Research and Education Foundation, Inc. or Teach For America.
