He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Emanuel and Geraldine Emanuel (Libke); his former wives, Karen Frances (Hale) and Barbara Jean (Fross Elston); and his siblings, Harold Emanuel, Elmer Emanuel, Ronald Emanuel, Carol Mundy and Karen Schrader.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Burandt Emanuel; his grandchild Jerry; his children, Kristine Robertson (Mark) of South Beloit and Steven Emanuel (Meg) of Clinton; his grandson Kyle Robertson (Jordan); his stepsons, Michael Elston (Julie) of Virginia and Richard Elston (Melanie) of Rockford; his stepgrandchildren, Emily, William, Garrett and Zabrina; and his sisters, Janet Lindquist of Rockford and Kathy Emanuel of Rockford. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
