She is survived by: her parents, Adam VanMeter and Sarah VanMeter (Allen); her cousins, Dave, Dom Goff, Natalie and Tanner Cortese; her grandparents, Val Minson, Laurie DeVries, Tammy Walker, David and Daisy Allen; her half-sister Fin Allen; her aunts, Jessica Salisbury (Michael) and Autumn Neale; her uncle Bruce VanMeter; and her sister Allison VanMeter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to the family for a scholarship fund that will be started in Alana's name.
