She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude Swinson (Robinson) and Lloyd Swinson; her daughter Deena Christensen; her son-in-law Karl; her siblings, Richard, Barry, Mark, Brian and Debra; and her great-niece Aelin Fraedrich.
She is survived by: her children, Dawn Capes (Dan), Doreen Simmons (Manuel), Denise Simmons and Dewayne Simmons (Jessica); her son-in-law Patrick Christensen; her grandchildren, Nicholas Capes (Shannon), Devin, Reilly, Alex, Andrew and Manuel Jr.; her brothers, Criag and Larry Swinson (Donna); her sister-in-law Lita Swinson; her sister Mary Fraedrich (Bill); and her friend Rieann. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Genoa Veterans Home (311 S Washington St, Genoa, IL 60135).
